Santa Marta Lighthouse Museum. Aires Mateus
Video of the Santa Marta Lighthouse Museum, work of Aires Mateus Architects and built in 2007 in Cascais, Portugal.
At the fort of Santa Marta, where buildings have been superimposed since the XVII century, the architects rehabilitate a beacon to make public space and a museum. The new buildings are built with white concrete in facades, roofs and interiors, while existing buildings are unified by a cladding tile.
The video is the work of Vitor Gabriel.
