Casa da Chá, Matosinhos. Álvaro Siza
Da Boa Nova restaurant, Casa da cha in Matosinhos, Oporto was built between the years 1958-1963, by the Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza. It is regarded as his first representative work, built very near Matosinhos, architect’s home residence.
The construction is related to the field and is discovered as the observer moves through, in this way, the rocky surroundings, the sea and the surrounding vegetation become part of the building “landscape construction.”
